Threads has a free, built-in scheduler in the app and on threads.com. Here's exactly how to schedule a post, find and edit it later, pick the right time for your audience's time zone, and fix it when something doesn't post.
Big news drops Tuesday morning ☕ What should we call it?
Works the same on iPhone and Android. Make sure the app is up to date first - older versions may not show the option.
Scheduling is for new posts. If you don't see Schedule for a particular post - for example one with a poll, or a reply - post it normally or save it as a draft.
Prefer writing on a computer? The scheduler works on the web too.
There's no separate queue - scheduled posts live in Drafts until their time arrives.
Open Drafts from the composer. Scheduled posts show the date and time they'll go live.
Open the scheduled draft, change the text or media, and schedule it again.
Open the draft, use the ••• menu → Schedule, and pick a new date or time.
Delete the draft before it publishes - nothing goes out.
Once a post is live it's a normal post: you can still edit it for a short time after publishing, like any Threads post, or delete it from your profile.
Your followers may live somewhere else. Enter when you want the post to go live for them, and the planner shows the time to set in your scheduler - and checks it's within the 75-day window. Runs in your browser.
Need a calendar view, bulk uploads, several accounts or team approvals? Scheduling tools connect to Threads through Meta's official API.
Compare options in our Threads schedulers guide, or build your own with the calendar builder and Python script in our automation guide.
Tick through these - it only lives in your browser.
✓ Ready - schedule it!
