    • Silent mode - check the Ring/Silent switch or Action button.

    Why are videos not playing on Threads?
    Usually a slow or unstable connection, Low Data Mode or Data Saver, an outdated app or browser, or a full cache. Update the app, switch networks, turn off data saving for Threads and restart the app.
    Why is there no sound on Threads videos?
    Videos in the feed start muted. Tap the video or its speaker icon. Also check your phone isn't on silent, the volume is up, and audio isn't going to Bluetooth headphones.
    Why do Threads videos show a black screen?
    A black screen usually means the video hasn't loaded or the app has a stuck cache. Pull to refresh, restart the app, and clear the cache. On desktop, turning hardware acceleration on or off in your browser can help.
    Why don't Threads videos autoplay?
    Low Power Mode, Low Data Mode, Data Saver or your browser's autoplay settings can stop videos playing automatically. Tap the video to play it, or turn those modes off.
    Why do Threads videos keep buffering?
    Your connection is too slow or unstable for the video quality. Move closer to Wi-Fi, switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data, turn off VPNs, and close other apps using the internet.
    Threads videos won't play on my computer. What can I do?
